SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Penn State Heart and Vascular Institute is a leader in providing advanced, coordinated care for cardiovascular disease in the region. We’re home to the region’s only heart transplant center.
We combine advanced expertise, sophisticated technology and the latest proven treatments to offer complete care for heart and vascular conditions — from prevention and wellness services to emergency treatment for heart attacks and minimally invasive therapies. We’re often the first facility in the area to offer innovative approaches.
We are looking for an Attending Nurse to join our Non-Invasive EP teams as a Cardiac Device Specialist. The Attending Nurse will be interrogating implantable cardiac devices within patients. The right candidate will have a strong passion for devices.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates’ Degree in Nursing required. BSN required within 4 years of hire.
- Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by the State of employment.
- One (1) year of RN experience or two (2) years of LPN experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to stand, walk and sit frequently.
- Able to lift/carry 0-10 lbs frequently; 11-50 lbs occasionally.
- Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-75 lbs occasionally.
- Able to reach constantly.
- Able to use hands for simple/firm grasping.
