JOB SUMMARY:
Reports directly to the Director Revenue Cycle. The Manager Revenue Cycle will plan, organize and implement current and future strategies to optimize the cash flow of the health system. This position is also responsible for the management of regulatory and billing compliance, establishing working relationships with Penn State Health third party payers, account analysis, ensuring staffing productivity guidelines are set at appropriate levels and being maintained, optimizing best business practices and achieving best results. The Patient Financial Services Team Managers will report directly to this individual.
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in health care administration, business, or other related field plus 5 years job related experience OR 10 year's job related experience required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Strong managerial competencies in the areas of leadership and team development, managerial coaching, mentoring, and situational assessment skills with a proven track record in building and developing high performance teams.
Cash management and reconciliation skills.
Strong billing and accounts receivable management skills.
Ability to manage complex systems. Cerner skills experience a plus.
Familiarity with insurance payers/plans.
Superior judgement and decision making skills.
Strong ethics and a high level of personal and professional integrity.
