SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for all Penn State Health Hospital Revenue Cycle activities, including billing and collections, receivables optimization, edit resolution, contract management and customer service. Develops strategies to ensure best in class revenue cycle key performance results are achieved. Interacts with clinical and business leaders across the organization to ensure optional financial and patient experience results. Serves as a revenue cycle project leader for applicable financial system transitions and merger and acquisition activity. Works with other Revenue Cycle leaders to ensure optimal patient access and revenue integrity workflow results and world class hospital revenue cycle results. Reports to the Vice President, Revenue Cycle.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree required
10 years of experience which must include 7 years of progressive responsibility in a leadership role focused on healthcare revenue cycle, preferably over a large group practice, with proven key performance results required.
Leadership experience of a revenue cycle redesign or business process optimization, including implementation or adoption of technology solutions that enhance operational effectiveness required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Strong written and interpersonal communication skills required
Strong leadership skills required
Keen attention to detail required
Ability to effectively manage projects required
Advanced computer skills such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification in Revenue Cycle Management preferred. (i.e. CHFP, CPAM, FHFMA)
Basic lean management skills are a plus.
