About Me

Roopa Siddaiah,医学博士, MBBS, received her medical degree from Mysore Medical College in India, and then completed a pediatrics residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. She continued to Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C., to complete a fellowship in pediatric pulmonology. Her research has focused on utilizing exhaled breath condensates to evaluate inflammatory biomarkers in a variety of pediatric pulmonary diseases. Her work has been presented at national and international conferences, and she has been awarded multiple grants. Dr. Siddaiah is an assistant professor in pediatric pulmonology at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. She is also involved with the Penn State Hershey Campus Commission for Women and currently chairs the Nominations and Award Committee. Dr. Siddaiah is passionate about medical student education and has mentored many medical students in their Medical Student Research projects and in career development. She currently facilitates the Health Systems Science Academy course for second-year medical students.
