    As regional president, Don McKenna sets the standard for operational excellence in the West Shore region and drives operations and growth for both Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center and Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center.

    米cKenna previously was the president and chief executive officer of Jupiter Health in Florida, where he oversaw the creation of a comprehensive stroke center with neuro-surgical and interventional services, the development of an open-heart surgery program and the opening of two new urgent care centers. He also managed more than $125 million in capital projects while with the organization.

    Before joining Jupiter Health, McKenna served as the president and chief executive officer of St. Mary’s Health Care System in Athens, Ga., for 10 years, where he led the acquisition of two additional hospitals to expand the health system’s presence throughout northeast Georgia.

    米cKenna earned a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Long Island University.

  • Sister Mary Joseph Albright

    Sister Mary Joseph Albright, SCC

    Vice President, Mission Integration, Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center

    Sister Mary Joseph Albright, a Sister of Christian Charity, is the vice president, Mission Integration, for Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center.

    In her role, Albright collaborates with the Sisters of Christian Charity and the Diocese of Harrisburg to maintain and strengthen the medical center’s Catholic mission and culture. As a member of the Ethics Committee, she offers advice on matters related to the adherence of the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Healthcare Services in medical decisions and practices. She provides educational programs for all levels of leadership, physicians, practitioners and employees.

    Previously, Albright served in the same role at Geisinger Holy Spirit from 2015 until joining Penn State Health.

    Bret DeLone, MD, FACS

    Vice President, Medical Affairs, and Surgical Director, Quality and Patient Safety

    Dr. Bret DeLone is vice president, Medical Affairs and surgical director, Quality and Patient Safety for Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center. He is responsible for data-driven medical quality initiatives, surgical quality and overall appropriateness of care.

    Prior to Penn State Health acquiring Geisinger Holy Spirit, DeLone helped establish the hospital as a Level II Trauma Center and was the initial interim trauma medical director. In addition, he led its pandemic care planning for COVID patients.

    A board-certified general surgeon, DeLone has expertise in minimally invasive and advanced robotic surgery, with broad experience in abdominal wall hernias, gastrointestinal surgery and trauma care of critically injured patients.

    As a board member and the immediate past president of Operation Medical, DeLone has participated in multiple medical mission trips to Asia, Africa and Central America. Since 2004, he has served as host of “Medical Matters,” a talk radio program on NewsRadio WHP 580. He is a former member of the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine and a former board member of the Pennsylvania Medical Political Action Committee, the political arm of the Pennsylvania Medical Society.

    DeLone attended Haverford College, earned his medical degree from Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and completed his residency at Upstate University Hospital, Syracuse, N.Y., before joining Kunkel Surgical Group, which is now part of Penn State Health Surgical Specialties.

    Randy Morris

    Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer, West Region, Penn State Health

    Randy Morris is vice president and chief financial officer for Penn State Health, west region, which includes Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center and Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center.

    Previously, Morris served in a similar role for Geisinger Health, beginning in 2015 with responsibility for the finance operations of Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital and affiliates, Geisinger Holy Spirit Medical Group, Geisinger Lewistown Hospital and Geisinger Achieving Excellence. He also served as associate vice president of finance and system reimbursement at Geisinger Medical Center. During his tenure, Morris directed the establishment of the system reimbursement group, implemented the Kaufman Hall financial reporting system and assisted in the creation of the productivity reporting system.

  • Gloria Santos

    Gloria Santos, RN

    Vice President, Patient Care Services, and Chief Nursing Officer, Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center

    As vice president of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer for Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center, Gloria Santos provides patient care services leadership to inpatient units, including critical care units, progressive care, the heart center’s cardiovascular and cardiovascular intensive care units, medical surgical unit, surgical services, behavioral health, birth place and emergency department.

    Previously, Santos held a similar position with Geisinger Holy Spirit. She originally joined the hospital in 2018 as its associate vice president of nursing services. During her tenure, the hospital achieved Level II Trauma designation and was recertified as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission. Under her direction, nursing turnover and use of agency nursing personnel decreased significantly, and the emergency department’s patient experience scores and all nursing unit results in the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey improved greatly.

    From 2013 to 2017, Santos was vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer for AdventHealth Sebring in Sebring, Fla. She provided patient care services leadership for three separate hospital campuses, managed three emergency departments with more than 60,000 visits per year and supervised all inpatient units, surgical services, pharmacy services, laboratory services, respiratory services, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen services and clinical informatics.

    Earlier in her career, Santos served as vice president of patient care services for Adventist Health Feather River Hospital , Paradise, California, and administrative director of medical surgical nursing for Adventist Health Portland, Portland, Oregon.

    She is a member of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership, Pennsylvania Organization of Nurse Leaders (PONL), South Central (Pennsylvania) Organization of Nurse Leaders and serves on PONL’s Legislative Committee. She also serves in the School of Nursing Advisory Board at Harrisburg Area Community College and Messiah University.

    After earning a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, Santos completed a master’s degree in health and public policy and nursing health policy at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.

    Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center

    Kyle Snyder is the senior vice president and chief operating officer of Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center, where he leads the medical center in delivering leading-edge medical care to the community.

    Prior to joining Penn State Health, Snyder served as the chief administrative officer for Geisinger Holy Spirit since 2015. In this role, he was responsible for the operations of Holy Spirit Hospital, Holy Spirit Medical Group and Holy Spirit EMS. Snyder helped develop a comprehensive clinical program plan, which established the direction for clinical program growth at Geisinger Holy Spirit and served as the resource that guided the investment of capital, the recruitment of physicians and staff and the transition from a community hospital to a regional referral center for south central Pennsylvania.

    During his tenure at Geisinger Holy Spirit, he worked alongside the leadership team to facilitate multiple physician practice acquisitions and develop and execute numerous business plans for expansion of services, including its Advanced Endoscopic Ultrasound, Level II Trauma Center, pediatric inpatient unit and Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Center.

    Previously, Snyder served as the associate vice president for surgery and anesthesia at Geisinger Health System in Danville, PA, administrative director for the emergency medicine service line at WellSpan Health, York, Pa., and administrator for the division of nursing at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, OH.

    Snyder earned a bachelor’s degree in health policy and management from Providence College, Providence, R.I., and a master’s degree in health administration from Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y. He completed an administrative fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
