About Me
Aman Dhawan, M.D. graduated from Albany Medical College in 1999. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and then a Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery Fellowship at Rush University Medical Center. He was an active duty officer in the U.S. Army for 11 years including deployment to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2006. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation. He is an Associate Team Physician for the AHL Hershey Bears and the Double A Harrisburg Senators baseball team, as well as several other area colleges and high schools. He has special interest in shoulder injuries including labral tears, instability and rotator cuff injury, as well as ACL and meniscus injuries of the knee, and hip labral tears and impingement. Dr. Dhawan is a sports enthusiast and continues to play a number of sports recreationally. In addition, in his free time he enjoys golf and spending time with his wife and four children.Locations
