Overseeing Specialty Medications

Penn State Health has a Specialty Pharmacy where clinical pharmacists manage and oversee patients who need certain high-cost medications to manage complex or chronic conditions, such as:

• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Hepatitis
• Psoriasis
• Cancer

Working closely with the patient’s care team, these pharmacists ensure that patients get the very best outcome from these therapies. The Specialty Pharmacy staff coordinates patient benefit verification, prior authorization requirements and copay assistance. Our team also delivers medications and refills to the patient’s home.

The Specialty Pharmacy is in the University Physician Center Building, Suite 1200.
